Spotlight on Eranthis, or winter aconite
The goat's droppings of the eranthis are just as precious as the large bulbs of the ornamental onion. They become gems. So if you get a small bag full of these, just know that this is a subtle, romantic or friendly, but always precious gift.
You plant them as a sprinkle ... You can also mix them with anemone blanda for a purple-yellow early spring. With dwarf irises in different colours. And, for the connoisseurs, with the purple/white checkered lapwing flowers (fritillaria meleagris), a mix that ensures a beautiful spring for years to come.
We surely do not want to pretend that presents should always be precious, durable, responsible, natural and for years of enjoyment, but this one just happens to be.
