Tulipa tarda interaction or Double late tulip is bicoloured, a botanical tulip. Relatively low so less risk of topping over or wind damage. The plant leaves have a beautilful striping, and it blooms in double flowers (interaction).

Keeping

Keep dry and airy at room temperature until planting

Growing

Planting in October and November (December if no frost)
Sun or partial shade
Well-drained soil
Plant the bulbs about 5 cm deep and about 5 cm apart, grouped in the garden or in a large pot

Flowering

Beautiful leaves, a pink knob that will give double flowers in white and yello
Flowering time as from March/April
Flowering height about 15 cm
Blooms every year if the crop is not removed after flowering (suitable for naturalising)
