In small pots you might plant small bulbs such as iris, eranthis, anemone, muscari, chionodoxa, scilla bifolia and botanical tulips, in loose sandy potting soil. In the spring, different varieties bloom between February and April. Combine colors as desired, or opt for uni.
In large pots you might choose ornamental onions with low or high bloom, in the color that suits you. Low white-pink plants with large bulbs such as allium karataviense or bright purple with high stems such as allium Purple Sensation.
The rainwater should be able to drain away, and don’t forget to water in the spring!
Please be aware: bulbs roots are fragile and they need space and air. In natural loose sandy soil this is easier to arrange than in a pot.
