Keeping
- Keep dry and airy at room temperature until planting
Growing
- Planting in October or November. September to December also possible, if no frost yet. After planting, they need ‘winter time’
- Sun or partial shade
- Well-drained soil
- Plant the bulbs about 10 cm deep and at a minimum of the bloom width apart, grouped in the garden or in a large pot
Flowering
- Violet/pink
- Flowering time as from May/June
- Flowering height depends per type of allium included in the mix (30-100 cm high, 10-60 cm wide), all in a round shape
- The flowers are attractive to bees and bumblebees
- Enjoy the unfolding, then in full bloom. You might enjoy the flowers for half a year if you choose to use as a cut flower and dry in a vase
- Blooms every year if the crop is not removed after flowering (suitable for naturalizing)
