Allium karataviense is quite low for an allium and will keep its great green leaves for the whole blooming period. Full softpink balls to turn heads. Works well as a group in the garden as well as in large pots.

Keeping

  • Keep dry and airy at room temperature until planting

Growing

  • Planting in October and November. December also if no frost in the ground yet.
  • Sun or partial shade
  • Well-drained soil
  • Plant the bulbs about 10 cm deep and about 25 cm apart, grouped in the garden or in a large pot

Flowering

  • Pink/white
  • Flowering time as from May/June
  • Flowering height about 20-25 cm, the plant has the same height
  • Blooms in spherical shape 
  • The flowers are attractive to bees and bumblebees
  • To be enjoyed in the garden or as cut flower
  • Blooms every year if the crop is not removed after flowering (suitable for naturalizing)
